Posting social media for the Chamber of Commerce kept me knowledgeable on what was going on in the city of Newport and surrounding towns. I was able to make timely posts each week about what the Chamber was focusing on, as well as what the businesses we sponsor were doing. I was in charge of daily duties such as following all of our members, unfollowing all of the old members who are no longer active, liking all of our members’ posts, reposting their stories, and creating content for our social media pages. I was able to attend countless ribbon cuttings for local businesses in Newport which was very exciting to watch the business thrive after their openings. I was in charge of taking photos at each ribbon cutting that I attended, and then formulating a social media posts afterwards.
